Respect a decision not to reconnect
A meaningful connection depends on both people choosing it.
Leave room for a no
An invitation can be declined or left unanswered. Try not to treat silence as permission to keep trying. Consider whether the other person has already explained a boundary you need to respect.
Avoid indirect pressure
Do not recruit friends or relatives to demand a response. Keep private information about the other person out of public posts. An apology can be meaningful even when it does not lead to renewed contact.
Use reflection for yourself
Write down what you have learned and the choices you can make going forward. A private journal or a conversation with an appropriate support person may help you reflect without contacting the recipient.
Keep expectations realistic
LastConnect is designed to help organise respectful drafts and intentions. It does not promise reconciliation. Future recipient controls must allow acceptance, decline and blocking; current private records do not contact anyone automatically.
