Use a pause to review a difficult message

Give yourself space to choose clear words and a respectful next step.

Write privately first

Capture your thoughts without sending them immediately. A draft gives you room to separate feelings from the message you actually want someone else to receive. You do not have to decide everything in one sitting.

Look for pressure

Check whether your message asks for an immediate answer or tells someone how they should feel. Replace assumptions with what you know. Remove details included only to score a point or reopen an argument.

Ask what the message needs

Choose one purpose: explain something, apologise, offer information or invite a conversation. A short focused note can be easier to respond to. Accept that the recipient may prefer not to engage.

Make the sharing decision separately

LastConnect stores your note privately. A timing preference does not schedule sending. Before using any delivery channel, check consent and boundaries and decide whether sharing is appropriate at all.
