Write a reconnection message without pressure
A respectful invitation gives the other person a real choice.
Start with what happened
Describe the situation briefly in your own words. Avoid guessing the other person’s motives. Write a private draft first so you can consider which details are necessary and which belong only in your reflection.
Say what you understand now
Explain what you have learned or what you would do differently. If an apology is appropriate, make it specific. Do not attach a demand for forgiveness, a response or a return to the relationship.
Make a small invitation
Offer a simple next step the person can accept or decline. Respect a request for no contact and avoid repeated messages. If communication is unsafe or prohibited, do not use a platform to get around that boundary.
Pause before sharing
Read your draft later and consider how it may feel to receive it. LastConnect currently saves private reconnection notes; saving does not send them. No platform can promise a reply, forgiveness or reconciliation.
