Create a helpful emergency contact list
Make it clear who to contact and why.
Pick the most useful contacts
Include people who can respond to a practical household situation, plus relevant providers or professionals. Use a short description of each role so the list remains understandable when someone is under pressure.
Check numbers with the people concerned
Confirm the phone and email details rather than relying on an old message. Ask whether the person is happy to be included. Review the list when someone moves, changes a number or becomes unavailable.
Explain the purpose
Add a brief note such as Knows where the house documents are kept or Can help with the pets. Keep medical details and other sensitive information separate unless needed and appropriately shared.
Make access deliberate
Store your working list privately and decide how an authorised person would find it. LastConnect does not monitor emergencies or contact these people automatically. For an immediate emergency, use the appropriate local emergency service.
