Choose trusted people for practical responsibilities
Start with a conversation about what someone is willing to do.
Think about the task
Choose people according to the responsibility involved. Someone may be comfortable finding a document but unable to take on a wider role. Consider availability, trust and the practical effort a task might require.
Ask before naming someone
Explain what you have in mind and ask whether the person is willing. Give them room to decline. Writing their name in a contact list does not mean they have agreed to a responsibility.
Keep the details current
Check their preferred email and phone number. Record the relationship and useful instructions. Share only what is necessary for a conversation, particularly when your notes mention other people.
Separate contacts from access
A LastConnect contact record does not grant permission to see private records or receive deliveries. Invitations and delivery access are separate workflows. After-death release remains disabled pending approval of its policy.
