Prepare for a conversation with your adviser
Bring clear information and useful questions to an adviser meeting.
Write down your purpose
Describe what you want help with: organising records, checking existing arrangements or clarifying responsibilities. A clear purpose helps you use the meeting well without trying to solve every issue at once.
Gather the information you already have
Prepare an account index, document locations and the names of relevant people. Bring current formal documents through an appropriate secure channel. Avoid sending account passwords or unnecessary sensitive material.
Make a short question list
Note uncertainties about nominations, document updates or the people you want involved. Ask what the adviser can help with and what falls outside their role. Confirm their credentials and fees directly.
Keep control of approval
You can request an Advisory Agent in LastConnect. Their submissions need the represented member’s approval. An agent relationship is separate from professional fees and does not automatically authorise account access or legal representation.
