Organise your online life one account at a time

Identify useful accounts and decide what you would like remembered.

Start with the accounts you use

List email, cloud storage, social accounts and other services that matter. Write the provider and account purpose. Include accounts holding important memories as well as accounts used for routine household tasks.

Record a preference

For each service, note whether you would prefer the account preserved, closed or reviewed. A preference helps explain your wishes but does not override a provider policy or another person’s rights.

Check provider options

Look for the provider’s current legacy-contact or account-recovery guidance. Record the date you checked it and any action you completed. Avoid relying on one general instruction for every online service.

Protect credentials

Store passwords and recovery material in a secure tool designed for that purpose. Keep your LastConnect entry focused on locations, contacts and preferences. Review it after changing providers or removing an account.
